llmwiki profile creates a minimal local profile or inspects the active profile. A profile defines the typed entity directories, relations, lifecycles, artifacts, workflows, connector bindings, and content tiers that a project uses. If .llmwiki/profile.json is absent, llmwiki uses the built-in default profile. The default profile preserves the classic wiki/concepts/ and wiki/queries/ layout.

Create a minimal profile

Use profile init in an empty project when you want to author a profile rather than install a complete template.
The command writes .llmwiki/profile.json and creates wiki/issues/. The generated profile requires a text title on every issue page. It validates the profile before writing and refuses if an active profile or typed project content already exists. There is no --force option.
See Build your first profile for the complete beginner walkthrough.

Show the active profile

The output includes the profile id, the canonical digest, and the file the profile was loaded from. Profiles that declare relations also print each relation type and its endpoint types.

Validate the active profile

Validation fails closed. A malformed profile, unsupported field type, invalid entity directory, unresolved connector binding, invalid lifecycle transition, or impossible precondition exits non-zero before any profile-aware write path uses the file.

Diff profiles

profile diff is read-only. It classifies on-disk pages under an old profile and a candidate new profile so you can see which pages remain compatible, which would be ignored, and which require manual migration. If a profile-owned directory is unsafe or unreadable, the command exits non-zero instead of printing a clean diff.

Profile installation

Use llmwiki template init to install a built-in or local profile template. That command writes .llmwiki/profile.json only after validating the template package and confirming that replacing the active profile will not orphan typed content.
See Profile templates for the install-time contract and Profiles for the profile file format.
